About the author
Dr. Christine Sansalone is an associate professor in the English Literature, Media and Writing Program at Laurentian University. She is currently the president of the Association of Italian-Canadian Writers. Christine is also the co-director of the student theater group Le Maschere Laurenziane. Christine has published articles on second language acquisition, theater history, the Italian Canadian internment during WWII, cinema and literature.
Dr. Diana Iuele-Colilli is an Emeritus professor of Italian Studies at Laurentian University. She is also the co-founder and co-director of the student theater group Le Maschere Laurenziane. Diana has published in the areas of second language acquisition, historical Italian linguistics, Italian dialectology and Italian Canadian language and culture. Diana is also Honourary Vice Consul of Italy for the Sudbury (Ontario) region.
A native of Calabria, Maria Pia Spadafora is a teacher, a freelance translator and a creative writer. She translated from English into Italian short stories and poems by several Italian-Canadian writers, such as Licia Canton, Delia De Santis, Darlene Madott, and Sonia Di Placido. Maria Pia is currently the Vice-President of the AICW. She lives and works in Milan.
